My picks of the week

This is my Sunday shopping outfit.  I've discovered how great wedges are in SF. The hills can be difficult, but wedges typically hold up for a day out in the city.

Since Mint/Sea Foam Green  is my new favorite color, I somehow find a way to wear it with any outfit. This outfit is great because I was able to put some of my favorite pieces together.  The denim jacket is a must in SF.  It always gets chilly here.

This outfit was inspired by the all the layering I'm seeing in blogs.  This grey dress is such a staple piece in my closet.  You can't see the ruching on the side, but it's a great touch to the dress.  Oh course I had to spice it up with leopard.  Shirts that have little ties are so great to have in your closet.  If you ever see one on sale, I'd suggest picking it up.  You never know when you'll need to dress up an old sweater or even a dress.

Handbag Lovin

This weekend I spend some time in Seattle.  I've wanted the three bags above for a really long time.  My shopping rule is that if I think about something for over a week, I have authority to buy it.  Most of the time I forget about stuff within two hours and moved on to a new obsession, so it's an easy rule for me to follow.

This little bag is a classic Willis Coach crossover from 1990.  I got if off ebay for $20.  Coach has recently brought back their classic bags.  They have such wonderful leather at Coach.  If you've steered away from Coach stores because everyone has Coach bags with Cs all over them.  I'd highly recommend stopping in a store, you'd be pleasantly surprised.

I've been lusting over this purse for the last month.  The bag has amazing leather and the color is great for spring/summer! It can be dressed up or dressed down.  That's what's so great about cross body bags. As soon as I take off the longer strap, I can make it look sleek and sophisticated. Looking forward to using this bag over the next few months!

This bag was somewhat a splurge. I'm convinced sales people at clothing stores are the best sales people in the world. They have all the inside tips...so they say ;) This is bag is going to be great for commuting back and forth to work. I was debating on getting this bag or the Louis Vuitton Neverfull bag.  This is another great staple in my collection. The picture doesn't do it justice.  It's a clean, cut bag that is great for after work events. It has enough from for your computer, wallet, sunglasses, etc. but it's not too bulky.

My Neon Collection

Neon Dress: Urban Outfitters
Neon Yellow Satchel: Cambridge Satchel Company
Neutral+Neon: Aldo

Neon Pink Wedges: Rocket Dog

It was only appropriate to have my first photo post include NeOn! As you'll see...I love color! You'll also find out that I'm a huge bargain shopper. It's one of my best qualities as a shopaholic! It's from my  Midwest roots ;) Neon is so hot right now and with summer right around the corner, I thought it would be a perfect way to start my neon collection.

The dress from Urban is so beautiful and can be dressed up with a necklace or dressed down with a jean coat.  The neon satchel is one of my favorite things right now. They come in several colors. The yellow is so bright! The picture doesn't do it justice. The pink clutch from Aldo was a great find. I saw it in a magazine the day before and it was on sale! Yay!!! Finally...my Rocket Dog wedges. Yep, you read correctly. These are from Marshalls. They were $20 on  clearance. Can't wait to wear them with something ping!

Now...go out there and find your favorite piece of neon and match it with some neutrals or more bright colors!

The Blogs Begins!!!

Wooooooooo Hooooooooooo! I finally have a blog! Only took my entire life to get the courage to create a fashion blog! On day one I'm thinking that I'd like it to be a collaboration of my personal pictures and some of my shopping bargains. I love getting a good deal. I'm a fashionista who works in the Corporate World. I sit in a gray cube at a fortune 100 company. Currently I'm trying to move up the corporate ladder while I learn more about the fashion industry. Enjoy my posts!
