Hope everyone enjoyed the weekend! Yesterday Matt surprised be with a "date day" in the city. Our day started with renting bikes and riding along the West Side highway. We were amazed with all the beautiful parks and cute restaurants along the way. Then we headed over to Central Park and rode through the park for a few hours. Afterwards we dropped off the bikes and we headed to our hotel facing Central Park. We stayed at the Park Lane Hotel. I highly recommend this hotel if you want a view of Central Park. After a day of riding bikes it was necessary to get a crepe and carrot cake, so we popped in the Plaza Food Court to have a bite to eat before dinner. If you're ever in NYC and near Central Park, stop by the Plaza Food Court. They have so many yummy desserts!
We took a few hours to relax and look over beautiful Central Park. Then headed to dinner at Quality Meats. It's our favorite place to eat in the city. We're both from the Midwest, so we're steak and potato lovers. The steak is cooked perfectly, Every. Single. Time. Afterwards we went to Momofuku Milk Bar. For those who live in NYC probably know this place for their cereal milk. Do you remember that taste after eating captain crunch, this place makes soft serve ice cream that taste like cereal milk. It's a must try if you're in the area. This time we skipped the ice cream, but we did try a delicious confetti cookie.
We both had an amazing time yesterday. The next time you're in NYC, be sure to check out a few of these places, you won't be disappointed!

Now, back to business...today I wanted to share this amazing sweater I picked up from the GAP (got it in all three colors). In the summer I'm always in need of the perfect sweater. One you can wear when you go the lake or the beach late at night or just lounge around the house, in the air condition. This sweater fits perfectly and looks great with shorts or skinny jeans for a causal summer look. It's very light and airy, so you won't warm up too quickly.
