Good morning everyone! As planned, my fiance and I had a relaxing and quiet weekend. We ate at a highly recommended restaurant, Minetta Tavern, and had the tastiest cocktails and entrees. If you're in the New York area and want a delicious place to eat that will have you thinking about it for days, make a reservation at this place. You won't be disappointed.
A little about today's outfit. This is a great outfit to wear to the office on a Friday. If you're office is the standard black slacks and white oxfords, Fridays are a great days to take more "risks" with patterns and colors. It's the eve to the weekend and people tend to be more relaxed. So if they see someone in a leopard print top, it's not such a showstopper.
The leopard top I'm wearing is actually a dress, which I wore earlier this year with a vest. I've seen several fashion bloggers wear dresses as shirts and it always amazed me they could find the perfect dress and skirt to make this work. I think the trick is in the skirt. If you have a thick enough skirt that won't show lines, you can make it work. Of course I'm wearing it with my favorite skirt from J. Crew, the no. 2 pencil skirt. The shoes I have on, I picked up from a consignment shop while living in SF. Only $25 and I've worn these shoes at least 15 times!
I'm sure you all know what happened over the weekend in the Philippines, in case you're interested here's a list of charities working to provide relief in the Philippines.
