Good morning everyone! I'm looking forward to another beautiful fall day. Growing up in the Midwest we had four seasons and always loved fall the best. I remember the colorful trees while playing hide-and-seek and the brisk morning while waiting for the school bus. Living in San Francisco, the weather was always in the 60s-70s with some rain, so we didn't get to experience a lot of change in weather. We're both looking forward to fall and winter (I know that's hard to  believe because it gets so cold in NY).  

Today I'm wearing a few of my favorite pieces from my wardrobe. My striped blazer from Zara and my perspex heels from NastyGal. I wore a similar outfit a few months back. This outfit can easily be transitioned into a work outfit. Throw on black trousers or a pencil skirt and it's office appropriate. Speaking of work wear, I read this article by InStyle and it talks about corporate dress code and how to maintain your style while still looking professional. Check it out if you have a chance.

 Hope everyone is having a good weekend. Yesterday Matt and I enjoyed an early evening in Bryant Park. We had a mini picnic, which included wine, cheese, olive and a sweet baguette. Matt said he wanted to reenact our weekends in Napa Valley!  We really miss Napa. 

 We also celebrated our 10 years anniversary of meeting in college. After the picnic we had dinner plans, but we decided to relax and enjoy an evening watching the Cardinals game (I was shopping online). 

Today I'd wanted to share a photos of our New York apartment. The first few months we moved in we were so busy putting everything together. I'm thankful we spent those first two months of summer working on the apartment. Now we can take our time working on the small details.  Most of the things in our apartment were found on Craigslist. I spent many night searching Craigslist to find the perfect pieces for the apartment. Several times we got lucky and other times we missed out on some great pieces.

No. 2 Pencil Skirt :: One Piece, Two Ways...

 Hello everyone! Looking forward to a great weekend with my fiance. Tonight we're having date night. Matt is making plans, I'll be sure to take outfit pictures! 

Today I wanted to share one of my favorite skirts from J.Crew. I have several skirts from J.Crew and J.Crew Factory and they are key pieces in my wardrobe. As you can see, one skirt can be worn many different ways. The No. 2 Pencil skirt can be worn to the office every single day and can also be worn out with friends around the city or out shopping. Two important things to remember as fall approaches, wear layers & make sure your first layer is very thin. I learned the hard way, wearing four layers of thick sweaters and shirts will only make you hot and feel bulky. Here are two tops that will reduce bulk and also be fitting to your body with the second layer.

Hi everyone! Hope you like today's post. Yesterday I met up with Christine of Petite Hues and we took a few photos around the neighborhood. I got a chance to take her photos, as well. Taking photos in over the knee boots was difficult, but Christine and all the people watching had a good laugh.

Speaking of the over the knee boots...what do you think? I feel in love with these boots a few months ago and ever since then I've been on a wild goose chance trying to find them at H&M stores. One morning I was up early and they were back in stock! When they arrived in the mail I was so excited to wear them around the house, then I tried to wear them with a few dresses & skirts and it didn't fit my style. Since I'm 5'1 I thought I'd have problems finding the perfect outfit, but the classic skinny jeans looked great with my new favorite boots.

 Happy Hump Day everyone! Keeping today's post very lighthearted. Yesterday I saw the Geico "Hump Day" commercial and couldn't help myself but burst into laughter...again. I think I've seen that commercial 20 times and I always get a kick out of a camel walking around an office.
