Little Frenchie :: Faux Leather Pants & Gap Tee

Good morning everyone! Looking forward to an exciting day. Lots of work meetings and then heading to a Kenneth Cole event with my blogger friends. Kenneth Cole is celebrating 30 years in the fashion industry.  Look forward to hearing him talk about his success and challenges throughout his career.

Today's outfit is another "Catwalk" outfit. My style is a mix between "corporate" and "catwalk" style. During the week, I'm all business with my pencil skirt and structured blouses. When I leave work, I like to hang up my black blazer and throw on my faux leather leggings and trendy accessories. I wore this outfit to meet some friends out for sushi.  The outfit is still casual because I'm wearing a cotton tee, but I keep the look trendy with faux leather leggings.

Place you could wear this outfit :: happy hour, Friday night dinner, concert
or as my fiance would say, a motorcycle convention :)

Thursday Night Football :: Boyfriend Jeans & Faux Leather Peplum

Happy...last day of the week! Yippie! We made it. Put everything behind you and get ready for another beautiful September weekend.

About today's outfit. I wore this to watch watch Thursday Night Football with friends in the city. If I had to wear one outfit for "the rest of my life" (I know we've all asked this question before), this would be the outfit. Let's start with the top, cotton and faux leather at it's best! The most comfy shirt I own. Then my Current Elliott Boyfriend jeans that I got on sale for $99. These jeans area heaven-sent! So comfy. I could spend 5 days in these jeans and they are so comfortable. The jeans are soft and worn in! Last, but not least are the Boutique 9 heels. These open toe booties are one of my favorite heels in my collection. I've only worn them a handful of times, but I love the wool, and faux leather on the heel. I've spent some time trying to find the link to the shoe, but I'm unable to find it online. I'll continue to search and update you wit any progress.

Street Style :: Zara Leather pants & Kurt Geiger heels

Hi everyone! I'm writing you flying over Pennsylvania. For the rest of the week I'm heading back to my hometown, Kansas City, to spend time with my family.  My beautiful niece turns 7 years old tomorrow and I never miss a birthday party...so I'm heading back.

Today's outfit post is a mix of a few trends for fall. The "camo" colors and leather leggings. Last year I picked up both the top and leggings from two of my favorite stores, Banana Republic and Zara. I've worn this outfit a few times. It's great to wear out for a late dinner at a trendy restaurant or heading to a friend's house for cocktails with the girls. When I'm not wearing pencil skirt and oxford shirts to the office, I take a 180 and throw on some leather and strappy heels. The heels were a purchase from Kurt Geiger in SF.  The heels were purchased the day before I moved to NY. I consider them my parting gift with beloved San Francisco.

Hope you like the photos. They were shot by a new friend, Akil at ClearShadow Photography. He takes amazing photos. We took these photos with a friend of mine, she's the model. Then I jumped in and took some candid blogger shots.  We had a great time. Good learning experience for me.

Place you could wear this outfit :: trendy social networking event, meeting the girls for dinner, dinner date. Where would you wear this outfit???

Fall into Leopard :: Forever 21 top & Zara skirt

Good morning! Fall has officially arrived. This morning there was a strong breeze while I was walking to work. Although fall has arrived, you don't have to cut skirts out of your wardrobe. The midi skirt is a great alternative to the summer skirt. This midi I picked up from Zara a few weeks ago. This is an easy alternative to pants and a pencil skirt. This skirt can be worn with a lot of different tops. I think a floral top would look awesome with the accordion midi skirt.

I'm sure most of us ladies are familiar with the "cold offices". A sweater is always a good idea when you work in an office. An easy way to change an outfit from day to night is adding leather and more gold. The long pencil skirt is a great transition piece.  This outfit could also be word with flats during the day and dressing it up with heels at night.

ready for fall!

Top: Nordstroms, Pants: Gap, Wedges: Aldo, Clutch: boutique, Necklaces: Lia Sophia & boutique

I'm slowly getting my closet prepared for fall! Love the blue, emerald and red for the season. Just a few months away and we'll all be back to layering and leather.  So many great colors and prints this season.  Two of my favorite will be houndstooth and the never ending trendy plaid.

fashion tech night

Dress: INC (similar here), Heels: Steve Madden,  Blazer: Macy's (similar here), Bag: ALDO, Sunnies: DKNY

Last night my wonderful boyfriend/photographer accompanied me to a Fashion Tech conference in downtown San Francisco.  The women of Third Ware Fashion held a "Founders Tell All" event.  They had amazing speakers.  Not sure where to start, but here I go...Brian Sugar, CEO of PopSugar, Lindsey Guest, CEO & Founder of Beauty Army, Aubrie Pagano, CEO of Bow & Drape, Stephanie Palmeri, Principal at SoftTechVC, Colin Stuart, Co-founder & CTO of Betabrand

It was great to hear about their personal storeis and how they have created successful companies in the Bay Area.  My personal favorite was Stephanie Palmeri.  She's a young and successfuly Principal at SotfTechVC, which is a large VC company in SIlicon Valley.  The best part about listening to her speak was learning about her involvement with PoshMark.  One of my favorite sites.  If you're not a part of PoshMark, you should check it out.

The crochet dress my mother gave me is still one of my favorite.  I thought the $10 jacket I got from Macy's would look great with it (yep, only $10 found it on super sale when I went there in Kansas City).  Thank goodness for sale items.  I've received a lot of compliments. Two of them being from fashionable men, that's always a good sign.
