What to Wear to Work | Pink + White

Last weekend, while in Kansas City, I found some time to do a little shopping with my mom. After picking me up from the airport, we headed to Macy’s to check out their sales. I’ve been lusting over these Tory Burch sandals, but I can’t seem to find them in my size. These MichaelKors wedge sandals are a great alternative, especially with 25% off! I also picked up this Maison Jules, which will look great with my new fedora.

These pale pink pants and silk cami are currently two of my favorite work wear pieces. When I first tried on these pants I wasn’t a huge fan of the side zipper, but they fit me perfectly around the waist and the leg length works.  The silk cami was an investment piece, but it was worth every penny. It can be worn under a blazer for a polished and professional look.

Day to Night | Camel Regent Blazer

 The J.Crew regent blazer is one of my staples in my closet. If you were to go through my archives, you’d see plenty of outfits of me wearing this blazer. When I travel, I throw on this blazer and a knit scarf. When I don’t know what to wear to work, I wear this blazer with a black cami and a statement necklace. For my busy lifestyle, I need pieces in my closet that I can grab off the hanger and be out the door.  What I’ve found with this neutral blazer is that it can be worn with almost anything in my closet. In today’s post, I wanted to show the versatility of this blazer. It can be worn with a button down and skinny jeans, but it can also be worn with a bright floral dress.

5 Necklaces to Wear with a White Button Down Shirt

Mastering a white button down shirt at the workplace has proven to be difficult throughout my career. When I see this simple shirt, my first reaction is to over compensate for it's simplicity, however I've learned that fitted pants and a statement necklace will go a long ways with this classic shirt. Here are five different types of necklaces you can wear with a white shirt to the office. Get creative with your necklaces because these will change your entire outfit. Also, don't be afraid to button up your shirt all the way or leave a few buttons undone (just make sure it looks work appropriate).

This necklace is from J.Crew (sold out). A tribal jeweled necklace over the collar of a white shirt is perfect way to look trendy and polished at work.

Love these clustered pearls from J.Crew (which I picked up for $17!). As much as I love a strand of pearls, a cluster of pearls is a great way to look classic, with an up-to-date twist!

Delicate necklaces are some of my favorite to wear with classic white shirts, it give you fresh and clean look. My fiance got me the two joining circles for Valentine's Day and the longer necklace is from a street vendor in Brooklyn. 

An oversized tortoise bib, from Bauble Bar, looks great with a white shirt. The simplicity of a white shirt give you the ability to go big with your accessories. 

Jeweled collars are always my favorite to wear with a classic white shirt. They're so pretty and glamorous. When I don't know what necklace to wear, I reach for this J.Crew jeweled necklace.

 Good morning everyone! Hope you had a good weekend. My weekend was action packed. One of my best friends was in town visiting from Salt Lake City. On Friday we had a beauty day. We got our brows done at Anastasia and then headed to the nail salon for shellac manicure. I got this color by Essie. It's a perfect transition color for the fall. We then headed out for dinner at a local Indian Restaurant and out for a few drinks. On Saturday we visited Highline and then had lunch at Cookshop. Great place to eat in the Chelsea area. Later in the evening we went to the Kaskade concert in Brooklyn. The Barclay's Arena is beautiful. I can't wait to go to a basketball game there! That night we met up with a group of our sorority sisters who live in NY. We had a blast! On Sunday we took it easy. She met up with a friend of hers at Iving Cafe. Her flight left in the early evening and I spent the rest of the evening watching football with Matt. Sundays are the best in the fall. :)

Good morning everyone! Look forward to seeing all the cute fall outfits. Here's one of my favorite sweaters with a pencil skirt with ruffles. This sweater I picked up from Zara a few weeks ago and I've already worn it a few times. This fall, be sure to pick up a few sweaters that can be worn with boyfriend jeans, slacks and a standard pencil skirt. It makes for a comfy and warm day at the office!

Trend this Season :: How to wear a Baseball Hat this Fall

This week has begun! Morning everyone. This weekend I spent time with my family in Kansas City, Missouri. When I'm back home, I spend most of my time running around seeing my favorite people in the world.  I always find time to do some shopping, they always have great sales! This weekend I found my new "fall" bag. Can't wait to show you photos. 

Today's post was inspired by one of my favorite accessories. The baseball hat. I've been getting away with this trend for years. I've always owned some type of hat. For years it was a STL Cardinals hat, then a Chief's hat, then a leather hat and now it's this beautiful J. Crew hat. I got this hat in navy and it seems to go with everything. It doesn't look as "tough" as my leather hat and doesn't look as sporty as my sports hats. The best advise I can give when wearing a baseball hat is to keep it simple. I think a white top and jeans are a great look. Then put on your favorite pump and you look like Sporty Spice! What do you think about the baseball hat trend? Do you like or love?
